Description
Prior to this project, I had no set design and/or set construction experience. This opportunity was presented to me because I was cast in the show. The director asked the cast if we knew anyone interested in designing our set.
Knowing scenic design was something that peaked my interest, I volunteered. Having little knowledge of scenic design, I started researching everything that could help. I created a design with a materials list and then, with my basic construction knowledge, constructed the set in one day, because that is all the school allowed. When I wasn't rehearsing my lines, I was painting walls or hanging curtains to get it done within a week.
